Colorful Copper Brooch Fall Maple Leaf

Bright and colorful, this copper brooch is inspired by a real maple leaf from one of the trees in our Maine dooryard.

After cutting a leaf by hand from sheet metal, following our own original template, we hammer it to create a natural pattern of veins and a gently rustic texture, we harden the it and then treat it to a blue flame wash to give it a multi color palette and finish.

Secured by a hinged metal pin back, the brooch is approximately 1 1/2 inch long from the end of the stem to the tip and 1 5/8" wide.

As every leaf is individually hand forged and finished, none of these brooches will be identical in surface texturing, shape, coloration pattern or patina; however, they will all be very much like the one shown in the photographs.
